We will contact your patient as soon as we receive the referral for treatment and make an appointment to suit them. Many of our referral centres have patient care co-ordinators who ensure that every patient receives a warm welcome at the practice and that they have the opportunity to ask any questions prior to consultation with the dentist. We find this helps to reduce levels of anxiety for patients and they receive a first class service.
The treating dentist will usually provide you with a copy of the treatment plan prior to commencing treatment, except in the case of endodontics when treatment sometimes commences immediately following the consultation.
The comfort and safety of patients is of paramount importance and our referral centre teams keep up to date with CPD and follow latest best practice to ensure this.
Surgical phase
A member of our team will remain in touch with the patient immediately following surgery to ensure they are comfortable and not experiencing pain or bleeding.
You may wish to become involved in the surgical phase of treatment and observe or assist during this procedure. This is possible in most cases – please liaise with the referral centre team to make the necessary arrangements.
Implant systems and restorative phase
Our dentists have access to a variety of recognised and well established implant systems to enable them to select the most appropriate course of implant treatment that offers the most predictable outcome.
We only utilise dental laboratory technicians who are highly qualified and experienced to assist in the planning and delivery of the patient’s treatment. You may wish to undertake the restorative phase of treatment for your patients or assist in the more complex restorative cases as part of your ongoing development.
Ongoing care of restored implants
Each referral centre has a team of dedicated dental hygienists who are highly skilled in helping patients maintain oral health. This is particularly important following dental implant treatment. We are able to provide continuing oral hygiene care for your patients or can provide training for your own dental hygienists to ensure your patients maintain meticulous oral hygiene.
